Outside Greater Victoria, Vancouver Island communities such as Nanaimo, Duncan, Parksville, the Comox Valley and Campbell River are spread along the coast, and families can be far from home-care services.
Care-Linked lets caregivers on the Island list themselves for free, so families in their community can find a local provider and contact them directly.
Getting started
Tell families about your experience, qualifications and services.
Choose how far around your Island community you'll travel, with a service radius from 1–50 km.
You decide when and how you want to work.
Families looking for care in Vancouver Island can find your profile and contact you.
Areas you can serve
Care-Linked isn't limited to one part of Vancouver Island. You choose where you're based and how far you'll travel.
Island communities can be far apart, so most caregivers serve their own town and the area around it. A caregiver who lives nearby can make a big difference to a family.
In smaller communities, a wider radius may be worthwhile. You can list a mileage or flat trip fee so travel is covered.
Work on your terms
In British Columbia, families often search for a health care assistant (HCA), care aide or community health worker. All of them are welcome.
